Hey everyone, Laurel here sharing my card for this week’s challenge.
I was inspired by the beach theme and the colors. I used some of my older Stampin’ Up! stash of papers (can’t remember the name of the collection) – the colors were perfect for this challenge don’t you think? I also used the Notes & Totes stamp and die from Stampin’ Up. I mounted the tote on foam squares for some dimension.
Now I can’t wait to see how you are inspired!
This week’s Inspired By Challenge is serving up a creative twist on seaside sweetness! These beautifully decorated cookies are inspired by the beach, featuring starfish, seashells, seahorses, coral, sand dollars, and calming ocean hues. Arranged together like a mosaic, they create a stunning display full of texture, pattern, and coastal charm.

Hello everyone. Von Marie here with you today and I’m excited to be on the Blog today! We have a New Challenge. This week it’s Birdies #IB394 and a New Card Sketch. So much fun!
Let’s Get Started:
I was so inspired by the colors, birdies, and card sketch. I almost painted some rocks and drew faces like the inspiration photo but I went simpler. I seen this birdie stamp set in my stash from CC Designs called Cute Birds Stamp and Dies. I stamped 1 image with Memento Tuxedo ink on white cardstock as 2 were stamped and die-cut already. I colored with my alcohol markers similar to the inspiration photo. Next, I cut out the bird with the coordinating die.
I had a MFT Die set called Hanging Branch, which was perfect. I cut out the branches with brown cardstock and the leaves with heavyweight green glitter cardstock. I cut out a white panel 4 x 5 1/4 and glued everything with liquid glue. I carefully stamped my sentiment with Tuxedo black ink and my stamping platform using the CC Designs stamp set. I then layered my white panel on a blue 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 cardstock and glued to a brown A2 card base. Lastly, I used a white gel pen for the birds eyes and added some glossy accents to the birds glasses and to all the birds eyes. I love how this card came out.

This week’s Inspired By challenge has the cutest little rock birds in the photo and I was scratching my head for a few days wondering how to approach this challenge. Then I saw some of my Instagram friends using the adorable Tropical Friends die set from Spellbinders and I had my inspiration. I was even able to follow the sketch this time around.
I love using this hibiscus embossing folder from Erin Lee Creative for tropical cards. Once again, I applied the black out technique to give my card an incredible amount of color and texture. It’s definitely bold and bright.
If you’re like me, you keep some sentiments ready to go and since I’m always in need of birthday cards, Happy Birthday was my go to.

Don’t forget to play along this week
Something about those birdies made me think of little houses…maybe their birdhouses? The charming colors tucked in the greenery made me think of the tiny neighborhood I would like to live in (if I were a bird 😂)…
I used the Sizzix by Tim Holtz ”Christmas Cut-Outs” houses and trees in the same colors as the birdies, and tucked them in The Greetery’s “Leaves All Around” stenciled die cut.
The sentiment is from The Greetery’s “Laid Back Basics” and the whole scene is perched atop a woodgrain background embossed with Stampin Up’s “Timber” embossing folder.

This sweet little bluebird card, I took my cues from the whimsical bird theme and color palette to create a shaped card that’s full of charm. The little flower and Love sentiment add the perfect finishing touches to this little feathered friend.

Inspiration can come from the simplest things. The playful birds in the challenge photo sparked the idea and then just added few details to bring the little bluebird to life. A perfect card for sending a note of friendship, encouragement or just a little handmade happiness.
Hey everyone, Laurel here to share my take on this week’s inspiration. I was inspired by the birds and the sketch, though I flipped it as it worked better that way with the Beginning Today stamp from Unity.
I started with the Little Spring Stories paper pack (on sale right now) from Unity and played around until I liked the papers and layout. for the top layer I subtly stamped the Lilac Poise image, splattered with ink then punched the side with a notebook punch.
After colouring the bird I mounted on foam squares.
