Hello everyone. Von Marie here and happy to be on the blog today. We have a New Inspired by…Challenge #IB393. This weeks theme is Donuts. So fun right? I love the inspiration photo and Card Sketch.
Let’s Get Started:
I was inspired by the theme Donuts, Colors, and Card sketch. I first used a 6×9 stencil called Wild Rings Stencil from A Colorful Life Designs and ink blended it on a A2 panel white cardstock. I used inks Catherine Pooler Sugared Lavender, Hero Arts Peony, and Hero Arts Creamsicle. This stencil design reminds me of donuts. Next, I stamped 3 donut images from Doodlebug Design retired Treat Yourself stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then colored with my copic markers using colors that would match the Inspiration photo. I used the coordinating die to cut the donuts out and then cut 3 squares of purple cardstock 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 in size.
I glued all to a A2 top folding card base 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink on white cardstock and fussy cut it out. I adhered it with foam tape and then added some flower enamel embellishments and that finishes me card.
Now it’s your turn!
Every Thursday starts a New Challenge. How are you inspired? You can enter using the Theme, Card Sketch, or Both. Share in our FB group too.
I love an opportunity to add sparkle and bling whenever possible, and this week’s photo of beautiful donuts decorated with flowers and candy sparkles definitely sent me in that direction with my card design.
I used Pink and Main Box of Donuts dies for the donuts and cut the frosting out of watercolored cardstock pieces I always keep handy. Then, I applied a heavy layer of Nuvo Crystal Glaze, to which I added glitter. The flowers are various dies from Spellbinders and Papertrey Ink, also cut out of previously watercolored cardstock. I added stickles glitter gel to the flowers, and then applied pearls to the centers.
The “Sparkle” die is from Papertrey Ink and was cut out of both glitter and gold foil cardstock and layered together. The scalloped panel is from Whimsy Stamps called Sprinkles Scalloped Rectangle dies.
A few goldish colored gems added to the donuts finished this sparkly card off nicely. I think this is the perfect card to send to my sweet niece who deserves a bright, sparkling year after experiencing so much heartache last year.
We hope that something in the Inspired By prompt has encouraged you to rummage through your crafty stash and join our challenge this week! ~MarDi
We love sweets here and if I looked at the donut inspiration and decided on a cupcake? It’s totally okay! I used Papertrey Ink’s “Floral Confections” along with the “Square Dance” stencils and “Laid Back Sentiments,” and The Stamp Market’s “ Just Add Flowers” for my scene.
The little braided rainbow in the photo caught my eye, too! I made mine with another older die set from The Stamp Market called “Rainbow Stripes” and the “Twisted Rope” embossing folder from Stampin” Up.
Even though today’s project is about pastels, I hope you all get a chance to do something sweet with the special guys in your life…Happy Father’s Day!
All cards usually make you smile, and this sweet donut shaped design is definitely one of them! For this week’s Inspired By project, I created something cheerful, light hearted and a bit of whimsy. Life can get mess, schedules packed and some days don’t go as planned. That is where a little creativity and a donut or two, come to the rescue.
So grab some paper, sprinkle on some creativity and join us this week!
Hey everyone, Laurel here. I completely missed last week as I was battling pneumonia, who gets that this time of year?! Anyways I was happy to play along this week
I was inspired by the theme, colors and sketch this week. I was excited to use my Pink & Main Box of Donuts dies along with an old MFT frame die. The sentiment is from The Stamps of Life.
I mounted the donuts on foam squares for some dimension and interest and of course, the added beads and chunks of ‘glitter’ are perfect finishing touches don’t you think?
This week’s Inspired By Challenge is as sweet as it is inspiring! Bursting with pastel pinks, peaches, and lavender hues, these beautifully decorated donuts are topped with charming flowers and delicate details that make them almost too pretty to eat. The playful design and soft color palette create the perfect blend of whimsy, springtime, and celebration.
Will you be inspired by the circular shapes, the floral embellishments, the dreamy pastel colors, or the layered decorations? Perhaps your project will feature blooms, sweet treats, soft textures, or simply capture the joyful feeling this image evokes. Whether you create a card, scrapbook layout, tag, or mixed-media masterpiece, let the image and sketch guide your imagination.

Hello everyone Von Marie here and happy to be on the Blog today. Today starts a New challenge for the Inspired By Blog #IB392. The theme this week is Daisies. There is also a New card sketch with inspiration colors. So fun!!! This challenge runs for almost a week. Every Thursday starts a New Challenge.
Let’s Get Started:
Can you tell how I was Inspired? I love the theme, colors, and card sketch. I really love this weeks challenge. I feel like this is a great card to mass produce.
I took a piece of of white cardstock and used Black Soot Distress Oxide ink and rubbed my ink pad down my white panel. I love the streaks. I then used Fired Brick Distress Oxide ink, Peacock Feather Distress Oxide ink, and Catherine Pooler Sauna ink and did the same ink. I then grabbed my blending brushes and inked over those areas.
Next, I grabbed my Layer It Daisy Die from Taylored Expressions. I cut all 3 dies out with white cardstock. I inked the center with CP Sauna ink. I used a flower die from my stash and used the stem that was cut out with white cardstock, and inked it with Spruce ink from Catherine Pooler.
My background was cut to 4 x 5 1/4. I glued everything to a Gray A2 top folding cardbase 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I stamped a sentiment from Concord & 9th with black ink onto my card. I did use a black sharpie pen on my sentiment as it didn’t stamp perfectly. And that finishes this card.
