Current Challenge

Hello everyone.  Von Marie here and I’m so excited to be on the blog today.  I love this weeks challenge April Showers May Flowers #IB385 and Card Sketch.

Here’s how I was inspired: I love the colors, Umbrella theme, and Card Sketch.

Let’s Get Started:

I chose to use a C.C. Designs stamp called Umbrella Swissie it’s a retired stamp, but is one of my favorites. I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock 110 pounds. I colored her in with Copic markers and OLO markers. I then fussy cut her out with my scissors leaving a white border. I also cut out some pattern paper from Lawn Fawn that looked like rain to me. I cut it like the card sketch.

I stamped a sentiment from Technique Junkies Rain sentiments stamp set that have been in my stash and are a nice quality as they are rubber stamps. I stamped onto my pattern paper with Versafine Onyx ink.  I glued my sentiment and girl to a A2 card panel 4 x 4/4 x 5 1/2 an then to a white top folding matching card base.  I used a gray Copic marker to draw ground for my girl and used a white gel pen for some white pen accents.  I like how my card came out as I probably would have never used these colors.

You still have time to join us!
