Current Challenge

  • Hoping Spring is just around the corner….this week’s challenge reminded me of all the Spring flowers to come and has be dreaming about my garden. I can’t wait for the weather to be warmer and the days to be longer. This card was created with a Lori Whitlock SVG file. It turned out super cute…perfect for this challenge and for the recipient that will be receiving it.

Thank you for joining us to day and make sure to join the challenge.

  • Hey everyone, today I am sharing my card for this week’s challenge. Being a tea drinker, I had to go with the theme. I dug out my very old Papertrey Ink Stamp as I thought it was perfect for this (do you have this stamp set?) and I paired it with the Mom’s Kitchen collection from Echo Park. I used my scallop punch to make the flowered paper look like a table cloth. I mounted the tea pots on foam squares and topped off with some old Papertrey Ink buttons.

Now we would love to see how you are inspired! Be sure to share it in our Facebook group too!

  • This week’s Inspired By challenge is steeped in vintage charm and blooming beauty! 🌸☕ Delicate teacups and teapots are overflowing with fresh pansies and playful succulents, creating a whimsical tea garden that feels like something out of a fairytale cottage. I was inspired by the theme and colors. My card features the following products by Concord & 9th:

    • Berries and Jam | bundle
    • Friendly Florals | bundle
    • Dragonfruit | cardstock + ink
    • Buttercup | cardstock
    • Dove | cardstock

I had forgotten that the Berries and Jam set had raspberries.

  • Hello everyone Von Marie here and I’m so happy to be on the blog today.  I’m so excited for this New Challenge Berries #IB375 and the card sketch is so much fun.

    Let’s Get Started:

I was inspired by the Inspiration photo the colors, Berries, and the Card Sketch.  How are you inspired?

I chose to use a Jaded Blossom die set called Fruit dies. I love all the different fruit dies in this set.  I was aiming for Raspberries.  I cut out some dies from the set like the base the berries and the leaves out of Kraft cardstock using scraps from my stash.  I then ink blended them with Concord & 9th dye inks in Eggplant and Cranberry for the berries and Parsley for the leaves.  I love to ink blend.  You can use colored cardstock of course too.  I glued my berries together with liquid glue

I also used a Fruit Basket die from Lawn Fawn that I cut out with pink faux glitter paper from Kat Scrappiness. I glued the basket to some white colored pattern paper from an older 12 x 12 Michaels paper pad. I also stamped a sentiment from Lawn Fawn’s How You Bean Strawberry add on stamp set with black ink on white cardstock and cut it to fit.  I cut out some more pattern paper to mimic the card sketch from Michaels. It was time to put my card together,  all was glued to a A2 pink card base 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  I had so much fun making this card. I’m actually allergic to raspberries but I still like to craft them on my cards.

I can’t wait to see how you are inspired. Link your card to the original challenge day post and every Sunday the Winner is announced. So much fun.

    How to participate:

Create a card inspired by the photo OR

Create a card inspired by the sketch OR

Create a card inspired by BOTH. Upload your card and how you were inspired to the Inspired By…blog

  • My card for this week’s Inspired By challenge was inspired by the sketch, the bright pinks, and of course, berries. I used “You’re the Berry Best” stamp set from Colorado Craft Company, which I’ve had for a while but this is the first time I’ve played with it.

I tried watercolor at first and didn’t like the result so I almost threw this out. Before tossing it, I thought I’d try colored pencil over top, and then became too invested to bail on it. In the end, I’m satisfied with the result.

I really wanted to add some water droplets but ran out of time. I might go back in later and add them.

Do you have berry stamps or dies that are begging to be brought out and played with? Or, does the sketch or bright pinks inspire you? We would love to see what you come up with. ~MarDi

  • I hope you had a nice Valentine’s Day! Did you use the cards you made for the challenge last week? I loved how many hearts and envelopes were used.

    Wanda Cullen

Such a pretty card. I love the flowers coming out of the envelope, the striking black strip and the little embellishments. Congratulations Wanda!

Now don’t forget to play along this week:

  • I love the fresh clean look and color scheme of this week’s inspiration photo! The ceramic pot and juicy berries look even more delicious set against the bright background.

I made my pot in a berry print using Carta Bella’s “Fruit Stand” paper! My “BotaniCuts: Strawberries” are in a “Pretty Pot” from The Greetery.

The sentiment is from “Sent with Love Sentiments” and is embossed in gold. The lovely “Distressed Tile ” background is made with a 3D embossing folder from Stampin’ Up.

Hope your day is sweet! Thanks so much for stopping by!

  • I love this challenge and I adore how this little card turned out. It is on it’s way to my grand daughter and hopefully it made it in time for Valentine’s Day along with a bunch of little things that I hope she will adore as well. This an Lori Whitlock SVG file that you can find here. I used some swiss dot cardstock and Doodlebug papers and embellishments to complete it. Love it!

    Happy Valentine’s Day!

  • Hey everyone, Happy Valentine’s Day!

This week I was inspired by the berries. I used this Clip Art Image – Chocolate Valentine’s Day as I needed something quick and these were just so yummy looking. Wouldn’t you agree?

I just felt like making a tall skinny card as it had been awhile and I dug into some hoarded old CTMH paper – love this set and now I don’t have much left. The sentiment is from The Stamps of Life. Of course I mounted the strawberries and sentiment on foam squares.

Would love to see how you are inspired! Be sure to join us.
