  • Happy Monday! I have a fun Easter card to share for this week’s BUNNIES theme. The cute little fabric bunnies in the inspiration photo inspired my card design, as well as the colors and sketch. The homespun vibe made me think of my thrifted vintage woodblock stamp from Imaginations of a whimsical bunny on a wonky carrot. A quick internet search to see if this company was still in business only produced many ebay and Etsy sellers, which didn’t surprise me. This was a very popular style back in the day.

Since I am still on my quest to use my abundance of patterned paper, I chose to paper piece the bows and carrots, then color the rest of the bunny and glue everything to kraft cardstock to match the background, which is embossed with Mandala Blooms from Spellbinders. The Happy Easter sentiment is from Picket Fence Studios.

I finished off my card with some twine to mimic the twine bows in the photo.

I really enjoyed creating an Easter card with these cozy colors. It was a fun break from the traditional pastels and brights I usually use for Easter cards. How does the photo, colors, or sketch inspire you! ~MarDi

  • Thank you for playing along with us last week. I hope you now remember to send out those Easter cards!

This is such a gorgeous card. I love the subtle texture in the background and those eggs are so pretty! Congratulations Mary!

  • I was so inspired by this week’s photo of the cutest bunnies! There were so many elements that captured my country-loving heart…the colors, the bows, the gingham, the denim! I wanted to add it all!

I used the “Bunny Hop Wreath” stamp and stencil set from The Greetery, along with the “Shortbread Shapes: Scalloped Hearts” dies and embossing folder.

I embossed with the folder on woodgrain cardstock for the base, then again on denim and gingham patterned paper that I cut with dies. Layered it all up and heat embossed the sentiment from “Bunny Hop Wreath.” I love all of the textures together!

Hope you are having a wonderful spring weekend (it snowed here today…womp womp)!
    Thanks for stopping by!

  • This adorable Easter card inspired by the sketch and three bunnies features the cutest little crew of bunnies cruising in style…bringing cheerful vibes with them. Lots of bright colors, layers and little details come together to create some bunnies in motion. It’s an SVG file from Doodlebug and the last little bunny’s eye didn’t cut correctly, but oh my goodness it turned out so cute as now he looks like he is winking.

The sketch and photo made me lean into fun and go extra cute. Because honestly, can you ever have too many bunnies? ~Cathy

  • Hey everyone, have you been creating Easter cards? I was going to go with the bunny theme (and who knows, I just may create another card!) but decided to go with the sketch, colors and Americana feel of the inspiration.

I used the new Americana collection from Echo Park and challenged myself to use something old… which was the Friendship Jar stamp from PTI (remember those? do you have any?). I added a bunch of stitching for a more authentic feel.

Can’t wait to see how you are inspired!

  • My project was inspired by the Inspired by Challenge: Eggs

I was inspired by the theme and colors. My card features the following Reverse Confetti retired products:

    • Egg Carton | confetti cuts
    • Stitched Daisies | cover panel
    • Springtime Sentiments | stamp

I picked up that vintage Hero Arts – Silhouette Grass woodblock stamp while I was thrifting in Florida last year.

The sentiment was stamped with Concord & 9th – Artichoke

    The cardstock I used:

    • Classic Crest – Celery
    • Concord & 9th – Avocado
    • Concord & 9th – Powder
    • Papertrey Ink – Classic Kraft

I did the direct to paper technique with the Catherine Pooler – Slate ink.

I can’t wait to see how you’re inspired!

  • Hello everyone.  Von Marie here Happy Tuesday.  I’m so excited to be on the blog today sharing about this weeks challenge #IB380 Eggs and a really fun and not so hard sketch I think.

Here’s how I was inspired:  I really love those eggs with the patterns on them and then I loved the colors.  Next, I loved the card sketch.

    So Let’s Get Started:

I chose to use a die set in my stash never used yay I’m finally using it.  It’s from Honey Bee Stamps called Build An Egg Die Set.  I ran a simple egg die through my die cutting machine with white heavy weight cardstock 110 lbs. 3 times.  The card sketch looked like 3 shapes so therefore my 3 eggs.

Next, I ink blended 1 egg with Simon Says Stamp Steel Blue dye ink and Catherine Pooler Hot Tub dye ink.  The next egg I ink blended it with Altenew Silver Sage ink.  My last egg was ink blended with Altenew Eucalyptus ink.  I then used Altenew Forest Fern dye ink to stamp a stamped image from Essentials By Ellen called Pieced Together another stamp I have never used yay onto my first egg.  I then wanted a different green ink so I chose Memento Cottage Ivy dye ink and used 2 other different images from the set.

I grabbed a 4 x 5 1/4 white cardstock panel and a gray A2 card base 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  I stamped with black ink my sentiment from Waffle Flower Crafts called Rejoice Rabbit Stamp.  I glued everything with liquid glue.  I used a white gel pen for some accents on my eggs like the inspiration photo. I like how this card came out and although my eggs are bigger than the shapes on the card sketch I still think it works.  I hope I inspired you to try this challenge.

How to join this challenge? Create a card inspired by the photo or Card Sketch or both.  Link your card to the Inspired By..Blog. Every Thursday starts a New challenge so you have less than a week to link up your card.  Show us your card in our FB group.  We would love to see.

  • My card was inspired by the pretty muted blue and green tones, the delicate botanicals on the eggs, and the sketch. As you can see, my eggs have hatched some cute little chicks just in time to celebrate Easter.

I used a mashup of products from my stash which includes the following:
Flowers and Foliage embossing folder by Spellbinders
Chick Set by IOS stamps (no longer in business)
Tranquil Terrarium by Hero Arts (April 2025 KOM)
Joyful Easter from Picket Fence Studios (Sentiment)

How does the inspiration photo and/or sketch inspire you? Is it those soft colors, the pretty eggs, the sketch? We would love to know. I hope you join the fun. ~MarDi

  • So many different takes on the inspiration last week. It is always fun to see how people are inspired.

    Teresa S

Such a gorgeous, vibrant card! I love all of the colors and texture as well as the fun glitter centres on some of the flowers. Congratulations Teresa!
