Hi everyone! The first thing that caught my with this week’s challenge was that the basket woven from strips of denim. The blue reminded me of a favorite pair of jeans, and those balls of yarn had me thinking about wool mittens. I put the two together in a paper mitten with a little pocket for gift card.
I chose a denim-blue floral paper for the mitten and red buffalo plaid for the scalloped cuff. My favorite detail is the whte zigzag stitching. I layered a snowy white flake over a red heart and tucked the Chillin in the Snow sentiment along the bottom. The gift card peeks out just above the cuff and Oh Deer tag will fil fit inside and has room for a hand written note.
How perfect for a coffee shop card and write, “The first cocoa of the season is on me!”
