Hello Autumn with Laurel

Hey everyone, I am heading out today for our last camping trip of the season. Then I will be fully into fall mode! For this week I was inspired by the theme and the sketch.

I used the Here Comes Autumn collection from Echo Park. I kept it simple as we just had company leave and I was getting ready for camping and didn’t have a lot of crafty time! The embossed vellum was done using a Stampin’ Up embossing folder.

The little acorn is a sticker that I adhered to some scrap paper and fussy cut so that I could mount on foam squares.

Cute story. My father in law picks up all the acorns that drop on his boulevard each year as he doesn’t want any oak trees growing. When I was teaching grade one, I told him they would be fun to have in class for the kids to count, sort etc. Each year he would give me a bucket full and always be sure to tell me how many was in it. LOL
