Current Challenge

  • I love this weeks inspiration as it can be taken so many ways! I was inspired by the boots and used the fun In Full Bloom collection by Echo Park Paper

The gum boots stamp is from CTMH and believe it or not, I have some pink ones like this, some baby pink Hunter boots…. I mounted all the images on foam squares for some dimension. The Spring die is from Echo Park as well. I pretty much always, as I have done here, adhere my stickers to scrap paper and fussy cut out as I prefer die cut elements.

  • This week’s Inspired By Challenge is splashing into bright, cheerful color! Rows of vibrant gum boots in playful shades of blue, pink, yellow, and red create a fun and energetic scene that’s perfect for sparking creativity. The repeating shapes, bold color blocking, and happy, rainy-day vibes make this inspiration full of possibilities.

Will you be inspired by the bright palette, the clean lines, or the repeating patterns? Maybe it’s the playful feel, the glossy textures, or the rainbow arrangement that catches your eye. However you interpret it, let this colorful display guide your design and bring a little joy to your project.

  • Hello everyone.  Von Marie here and I’m so happy to be on the blog today with my card for the current challenge Bunnies #381 and a fun New Card Sketch.

I was inspired by the colors, bunnies, and card sketch for this challenge.

    Let’s Get Started:

I inked 3 columns like the card sketch.  It actually took me 3 times because my columns were to wide for my white A2 panel 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  I used a stencil from Simon Says Stamp called Slimline Masks.  I used some masking tape to make my column even smaller than the stencil. I used dye inks in Simon Says Stamp Pucker, Latte, and Gina K Designs Powder Blue.  I ended up cutting my column off the paper and glueing them to a new white panel.

Next, I used a 6×6 stencil from A Colorful Life Designs called Bunny Hug and inked it over my columns using Gina K Designs Blue Denim ink.  I then used Gina K Designs white pigment ink for the eyes and nose of the bunny.  I stamped a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Oh Bunny Stamp Set with black ink. I used pink chalk for the cheeks and ears on my bunny although you cannot see on camera.  I wanted some gingham on my project like the inspiration photo so I grabbed a sticker angled it to my panel.  I then glued my panel to a A2 top folding card base.  I think this card ended up coming out cute.

    Come play along with us!

How to join this challenge? Create a card inspired by the photo or Card Sketch or both.  Link your card to the Inspired By..Blog. Every Thursday starts a New challenge so you have less than a week to link up your card.  Show us your card in our FB group.  We would love to see.

  • Happy Monday! I have a fun Easter card to share for this week’s BUNNIES theme. The cute little fabric bunnies in the inspiration photo inspired my card design, as well as the colors and sketch. The homespun vibe made me think of my thrifted vintage woodblock stamp from Imaginations of a whimsical bunny on a wonky carrot. A quick internet search to see if this company was still in business only produced many ebay and Etsy sellers, which didn’t surprise me. This was a very popular style back in the day.

Since I am still on my quest to use my abundance of patterned paper, I chose to paper piece the bows and carrots, then color the rest of the bunny and glue everything to kraft cardstock to match the background, which is embossed with Mandala Blooms from Spellbinders. The Happy Easter sentiment is from Picket Fence Studios.

I finished off my card with some twine to mimic the twine bows in the photo.

I really enjoyed creating an Easter card with these cozy colors. It was a fun break from the traditional pastels and brights I usually use for Easter cards. How does the photo, colors, or sketch inspire you! ~MarDi

  • Thank you for playing along with us last week. I hope you now remember to send out those Easter cards!

    Mary Reiner

This is such a gorgeous card. I love the subtle texture in the background and those eggs are so pretty! Congratulations Mary!

Now don’t forget to play along this week

  • I was so inspired by this week’s photo of the cutest bunnies! There were so many elements that captured my country-loving heart…the colors, the bows, the gingham, the denim! I wanted to add it all!

I used the “Bunny Hop Wreath” stamp and stencil set from The Greetery, along with the “Shortbread Shapes: Scalloped Hearts” dies and embossing folder.

I embossed with the folder on woodgrain cardstock for the base, then again on denim and gingham patterned paper that I cut with dies. Layered it all up and heat embossed the sentiment from “Bunny Hop Wreath.” I love all of the textures together!

Hope you are having a wonderful spring weekend (it snowed here today…womp womp)!
    Thanks for stopping by!

  • This adorable Easter card inspired by the sketch and three bunnies features the cutest little crew of bunnies cruising in style…bringing cheerful vibes with them. Lots of bright colors, layers and little details come together to create some bunnies in motion. It’s an SVG file from Doodlebug and the last little bunny’s eye didn’t cut correctly, but oh my goodness it turned out so cute as now he looks like he is winking.

The sketch and photo made me lean into fun and go extra cute. Because honestly, can you ever have too many bunnies? ~Cathy

  • Hey everyone, have you been creating Easter cards? I was going to go with the bunny theme (and who knows, I just may create another card!) but decided to go with the sketch, colors and Americana feel of the inspiration.

I used the new Americana collection from Echo Park and challenged myself to use something old… which was the Friendship Jar stamp from PTI (remember those? do you have any?). I added a bunch of stitching for a more authentic feel.

Can’t wait to see how you are inspired!

  • This week’s Inspired By Challenge is full of handmade charm and bunny sweetness! 🐰✨ These adorable fabric bunnies, with their gingham ears, soft textures, and rustic twine bows, bring all the cozy, crafty vibes of springtime and Easter.

Will it be the soft color palette of denim blue, warm neutrals, and coral, or the playful patterns and stitched details that inspire you? Maybe it’s the simple shapes, sweet little faces, the theme or that perfectly imperfect handmade feel that sparks your creativity.

Whether you go cute and whimsical or rustic and refined, let this charming trio guide your next project. We can’t wait to see what you create!
