Happy Monday! I have a fun Easter card to share for this week’s BUNNIES theme. The cute little fabric bunnies in the inspiration photo inspired my card design, as well as the colors and sketch. The homespun vibe made me think of my thrifted vintage woodblock stamp from Imaginations of a whimsical bunny on a wonky carrot. A quick internet search to see if this company was still in business only produced many ebay and Etsy sellers, which didn’t surprise me. This was a very popular style back in the day.

Since I am still on my quest to use my abundance of patterned paper, I chose to paper piece the bows and carrots, then color the rest of the bunny and glue everything to kraft cardstock to match the background, which is embossed with Mandala Blooms from Spellbinders. The Happy Easter sentiment is from Picket Fence Studios.
I finished off my card with some twine to mimic the twine bows in the photo.
I really enjoyed creating an Easter card with these cozy colors. It was a fun break from the traditional pastels and brights I usually use for Easter cards. How does the photo, colors, or sketch inspire you! ~MarDi
