Inspired By

Hello everyone Happy Tuesday! Von Marie here and I’m happy to be on the Inspired by…Blog today.  This week our theme is Mittens #IB372 and I love the fun photo.  We also have a great card sketch.  

So I was inspired by the colors in the photo.  I love the sketch too but honestly I just started ink blending on white cardstock using this great stencil set from Pretty Pink Posh that’s a Layered Mittens set that I forgot the sketch..oops but that is okay because either photo or theme or both is perfectly fine.  I used inks like Catherine Pooler Stone Blue, Polished, and Pinkfresh Studio Warm Buff to give me those blues, reds, and beige colors on my 3 piece stencil set.

I also used a Mittens Banner die from jaded Blossom Winter Banner Dies that I cut out with white cardstock.  I ink blended it with the same inks.  It comes with a separate mitten die with stitching so that is what I ink blended.  I stamped a cute sentiment on white cardstock with black ink also using Jaded Blossom called Fuzzy Mittens.  My sentiment was cut and my background was cut to A2 size 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 using my paper trimmer. I cut some gingham ribbon from my stash and grabbed a heart button like the image and some red embroidery thread and hot glued them to my card panel.  I had to dust my hot glue gun as it had been a while since it has been used.  All were glued to a gray A2 card base.
